It has been more than 4 months since my last karate training at Bucknell University. After a short break, I decided to picked it again. Thinking back, I've been doing karate for over four years now, on and off. Marcin was the one that got me into it. Thanks to his many couragements, I remained in the club many times that I felt discouraged. People tends to get excite about interest stuff like karate fairly quickly. But they also get bored and unmotivated easily. Once they are, most would quit. For me, martial art has always been a fascinating interest. Not that I got disinterested in it at the time. but a few times I was very stressed by works. I couldn't attended all the meetings and I felt I was very behind. I admitted I tend to have a high expectation of myself. If I'm doing something, I want to do the best. In my view, good is not good enough. The training tonight was a rough start. The training was much more intense and harder than what I had at Bucknell. Freakingly, a few guys said that tonight was only a mediocre level training and wait til I got to see the 'real' training. Still, I'm excited very about all this training. Our instructor is a 7th Dan black belt; his son is a renowned karate fighter; and we have a dozen more blackbelt level fighters. I will definitely going to have a great time learning from these guys

So today I decide to showcase some of my recent dish creations. Mom, you should rest assure that I have not being starving myself. And to my friends, if you haven't tried out Prince Li's mad cooking skill, hello, where have you been?? My first dish, string bean pork & scrambled tomato egg, 2 jello cups with a coke
One of my fav combinations, sweet potato rice with eggplant chicken, served with two glasses of freshly made 100% strawberry bananna smoothie
what I had tonight, shrimp veggie delight served with a glass of Carbernet Sauvignon
What I hope to make one day. I wish I'd inherited those cooking skills from my parent. Those shown are only half of dishes that my parent cooked that day. Oh man, I missed those lobster, the crab, the squid...

I went and got my Maryland driver license today finally. I sneaked out of my lunch break to get my driver license. Thought I could get back to work on time. I ended up waiting there for 2 whole hours. At one point, it nearly drove me nut. I got up and was about to leave when they called out my number. The whole registration took less than 10 minutes, but I was more disappointed that they confiscated my PA driver license. I love my PA license especially that I just got it new this May. I asked the lady if I can have it back for recollection purpose. "No, We destroy your PA license" was her response. Fook!!! Had my second lecture class today. For all my EE foes out there, here's the link to the description of my first embedded project.

Any insight off course would be greatly appreciated!!

Nothing much happend today, a typical weekend day for me, being a lazy slump and not wanting to do anything. First I got up late after watching 'tokyo juliet' late last night, then I decided not to go back to work and I dropped my workout. That make the time go by particularly slow today, but it was a nice and peaceful day I have to say. Normally I would have started playing the "romance of three kingdoms". That killed a lot of my free times in the past couple months, especially that I can play it nonstop for a whole day, from dawn to dawn ( i meant that literally). I finished that game two days ago. I could have install another game, but I guess I made the right decision not to. Enough procrastination for me, and no more late night sleep, it's time for me to get on some serious works. Tomorrow will be a long day for me, my typical Monday's morning now. I have work from 8am to 6pm, then have class from 7pm - 10:30pm. Good thing at least I'm enjoying my class. I'm learning embedded system programming and robotics programming, both in the discipline that I want to study in. My instructor seemed to be pretty cool too. I only had him for one class session so far. The real cool thing is that he also works for my company. There's a great possibility too that he could end up being my future rotation boss , haha. But then again, that also puts up a lot of pressure on me for this class. I have to work really hard to impress him so he would want to take me in. Who would want to hire a slacker, right? So I'm not lying, I have been studying alot today. I guess I did another useful thing today. I was on the aim with my buddy 'toogoodyang' just earlier, and I got him to sign up his own blog. He's probably busy writing his very first blog this time too. I've a high expectation for his blog

So I'm not sure if this is it. This is the second or maybe the third journal blog that I have created. The first one I created about a year ago. I was inspired by one of my very good friend. I made a sereral entries there, then left it unintended. Just a week ago, I found out that my previous web domain expired, and someone in India named Doorman took my 'jianzli.net' domain name, errh! I can't accessed any of my sites even though they are still physically there. After contacting this doorman with no response back and contacting my domain host service with no helps offer, I registered this new domain name "Jianzli.org". Eventually I will migrate the old data over to the new host, but some like the old blog I decided to kept out. Partly because the the blog software is outdated. This new version I used is simple php blog 0.4.9 just released on September 9 2006 which I thought is pretty cool. It has basic functionalities and a clean look. I bet it has some slick new features since last several upgrades which I haven't found yet. I'll have to play with it more. My main website isn't really up yet, it's very much crippled still. So if you click on any link that redirect you to jianzli.org, you will see some pages, but they are old and meant to be replaced or updated. As much as you can tell or if you have known me, writing is not my kind of stuff. I don't generally keep a diary or write a journal every day. As a matter of fact, writting gives me headache. I praise those who can write so much. Like the book author, how in a world can they write so much and I have so much difficulty just writing a dozen pages paper? The other day I happened to saw Li Wan's blog. I saw the length of her entry, read several of her blogs. I was like, Man, this girl is goooooddd. Amazingly, she inspired me immediately. I left a lengthy comment on her entry afterward, just to made myself feel a bit better.
Anyway, if you want to hear more updates of crazy prince Li's life, check back here frequently. I don't promise I will update it again, or when would be my next update, but check back anyway. I know, this makes no sense, but what's the hell, it's prince li. Prince Li makes the rules here!
Happy day!

Last night was a lot of fun hanging out with Morgane and Zorro. We watched the movie "Million Dollar Baby" outside of Rooke Chapel. But afterward, we just lied down on the grass, and chilled out like we did the night before. I have always wanted to do that, lying down beneath the open sky and staring up at the multitudes of stars. I did that alot in my childhood, especially during the summer when the nights got really hot. There was no Air Conditioning in our house and we couldn't rely much on the fan either since the electricity was cut off frequently. So we stayed out at our yard. We got out a huge sheet, and everyone would lied on it and stared up at the sky. We had a better view at the sky because we lived in the village, so there was less light and other distractions. But it is also true that Southern hemisphere tend to see more stars compared to northern hemisphere. The weather got a bit chilly later on through the night. My body was shivering, but I didn't want to leave. We chat on random stuffs. But for most of the time we were talking about the stars and the universe, or the alien, the time machine, and etc. We were trying to locate a few constellations. We found the little dipper, although we can't figured out where the big dipper is. My astronomy Professor would have frown on me if he knew that I already forgot most of the astronomy I learned last semester ^^.
There was a couple times Morgane got really excited when she said she saw the shooting stars. I didn't saw any for sure, even though I was staring for the last few hours.
It got really cold close to 2am, so we decided to move over to the Smith's lounge. Morgane brought down her blanket. The room was still cold, but at least it was much better than when we were at outside. I don't think we really talked about much stuffs while we were there. But we stayed over till 3:30am in the morning.
I definitely have fun last night
